Remember that we'll be having a focus on history in the first week back. If you are feeling bored, try to find out a bit about the Middle Ages during the holidays.
What could you do with a stick? We spent most of the last day of this term creating our picture books about "sticks", based on 'Stanley's Stick'. Everyone is now finished with the writing, but the pictures still need a bit of work. We'll get on to that in the first week back.
We went to the woods to get a feel for the setting and to take photographs for our picture books. The weather was great and I was rather impressed that nobody complained or whined, despite it having been a rather long walk. We had brilliant weather at forest school this week and certainly didn't get as drenched as last week. This time, we learnt how to make fire. We had lunch in the field and then a little bit of time for a run around. Everybody still seemed quite cheerful and not at all tired on the way back from the woods. Since we have only one minibus (thanks to our partner schools for allowing us to borrow it), one group has to wait a little. The boys didn't seem to mind too much and were using it as an opportunity to play football. Which history topic would you like to cover next term?
